About the Job

Tate Metalworks, Inc. in Roebuck, South Carolina, is now hiring a full-time, steel plate plasma cutting and beveling machine operator.  

Work shift: Monday-Thursday, (10) hours a day, (40) hours per week. 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities

Duties of the Steel Plate Plasma Cutting and Beveling Machine Operator include, but are not limited to:

• Being trained in the company’s safe work practices through certification and use of steel plate fabrication equipment.
• Running a computer-aided steel plate plasma cutting and beveling machine.
• Loading and unloading steel plates and parts from the cutting machine.

Employee Requirements & Qualifications

• Metal fabrication/cutting machine operation helpful
• Able to read a tape measure
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Kneeling, bending, and lifting
• Working on feet all day long
• Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check

Pay and Benefits

• Base pay starts at $19/hr (wage determined based on experience)
